My name is James and I’ve been a Personal Trainer [PT] for over 20 years. I have a Degree and a Masters Degree in Sport and Exercise Science and a Diploma in Fitness and Health with the YMCA. I am qualified with the British Amateur Weightlifters Association, Royal Society of Arts, City and Guilds and a variety of other organisations and hold professional membership with the American College of Sports Medicine, Fitness Professionals and the National Register of Personal Trainers.

For the majority of my life I have been involved with Health, Fitness and Sport. I have had considerable multi sector experience and have worked as a gym Instructor for over five years, Adidas performance trainer, and have been a Physical Training Instructor [Staff Safety Trainer and Team Leader] for five years with the Police.
I have been a Freelance University Lecturer Teaching Anatomy and Physiology to undergraduate nurses and have worked as a freelance trainer and consultant for several NHS providers teaching doctors, nurses and care home staff.

I have provided freelance Health and Safety Consultancy in a variety of topics and have published work in the field of epidemiology. I have competed competitively in several Martial Arts at County and National Standard, have swum at county level and have rowed on the British Indoor Rowing Circuit, including the British Indoor Rowing Championships.
In 2002 I won the Scottish Indoor Rowing Championships for my age and weight. I am a BSAC Scuba diver and enjoy walking and camping, having walked the West Highland Way, Great Glen Way and parts of the Southern Upland Way.
